After the match Onana was completing media duties in French when one reporter on the line tried to grab his attention by shouting 'Andre' instead of 'Amadou' - perhaps getting confused with Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Switching rapidly from French to English, the Everton star snapped back in a perfect British accent. He said: "Andre is not even my name, mate. Do you know what I mean?"

Onana signed for Everton in the summer of 2022, completing a £33 million move from Lille. The midfielder has gone on to make 63 Premier League appearances and has been capped 14 times by the Belgian national side.

Today, Football Insider reports that former Everton chief Keith Wyness has claimed 'negotiations are ongoing' for a summer move. It is thought that the Toffees could look to cash in on Onana before the close of the Premier League financial year this month to meet Premier League Profitability and Sustainability regulations.
Bayern Munich and PSG are also believed to be interested in a move for the Everton man. The Toffees are said to want £50 million for the player.
