Arsenal are preparing a move for Udinese’s Nahuel Molina this summer, according to reports.

The Gunners are believed to be looking at the possibility of a player exchange deal with the Serie A club for the right-back’s signature, according to Il Messaggero Veneto.

Pablo Mari is currently on loan at Udinese from Arsenal and Mikel Arteta’s side are willing to offer the Spaniard as part of a deal for Molina, the site adds.

The Italian outlet claims the Gunners aren’t the only team interested in Molina this summer, with Atletico Madrid and Juventus also monitoring the Argentine.

Udinese value the right-back at £25m (€30m) and are said to be already looking for a replacement for him.

The reason behind Arteta’s side targeting Molina is likely due to them currently being short on options at right-back, with Takehiro Tomiyasu out injured and Cedric Soares filling his place.

However, despite the Gunners’ interest in Molina, the possibility of Mari being involved in a potential deal for the Argentine has been called ‘difficult’ by Udinese’s sporting director Pierpaolo Marino.

Speaking earlier this week, via the Metro, he admitted the club are interested in the Spanish centre-back.

”Mari is an Arsenal player, it is already unusual for such a player to come to Udinese,“ he said.

“Not because we don’t deserve it, but because, in general, the path is the opposite.

“It will be difficult to keep him, but we will try.”

Elsewhere, Arsenal are reportedly interested in Wolfsburg winger Omar Marmoush this summer, as per Bild.

The Dutch newspaper claims the Egyptian would ‘love to play in the Premier League’ in the future, but his current club are looking to extend his current deal.

They add that the Gunners face competition for north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur for the 23-year-old.

Marmoush is currently on loan at Stuttgart and has scored three goals in 20 league appearances.
