Arsenal closed the gap between themselves and Premier League leaders Liverpool to just two points with another scintillating performance. Mikel Arteta's men delivered a 4-1 thumping to Newcastle United at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday night.
The Gunners were lightning quick out the block with trademark intensity on full show under the floodlights. It took just 18 minutes for the ball to hit the back of the net after a trademark Gabriel leap from a set play bounced past Loris Karius via Sven Botman. Kai Havertz and Bukayo Saka added to the score either side of half time before Jakub Kiwor headed home the fourth - although Arsenal's final of the night may also go down as an own goal.
Here's how the Arsenal players rated.

Took his goal well, but it was an easy chance. Some really nice, neat work tonight but questions could still be asked over his suitability for the striking role. | Arsenal FC via Getty Images Photo: Getty Images

Nothing more the talented winger could have done. A danger from the off, it was his delicious corner that led to the opener and he deserved his goal in the second half - Newcastle United couldn't come close to him. | AFP via Getty Images
