The Gunners saw off Nottingham Forest last week to get their season off to a winning start, though they lost new signing Jurrien Timber to a long-term injury during that one. Mikel Arteta and Edu will now be assessing whether they need to add further strength to the squad, while also considering which players need to be offloaded.

With that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.

The youngster is a target of the Gunners’, according to Adrian Sanchez, but Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez has recently claimed the club have no plans to sell the young star, who is under contract until 2027 as things stand.

He said: “I already said that Ansu is the club’s heritage. He is an important player and he will continue to be so. He’s present and future”.

Partey update

Arsenal may finally get their opportunity to offload Thomas Partey after weeks of speculation.

According to Takvim, Galatasaray are interested in a deal for the holding midfielder, and they are said to be willing to pay €10million to pull off a deal. Arsenal are said to want around £2million more than that, but they may be short of options, and they could do with incoming cash after spending well over £200million so far this season.

The report claims talks are still ongoing between Arsenal and the Turkish club, and the latter are hoping to talk the Gunners down from their current valuation. So far this summer, there has been limited interest in Partey, and it doesn’t look like the Ghanaian will be a key part of Arteta’s plans for this season.
