Arsenal are back in action on Wednesday night when they take on an in-form Newcastle United in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final. Hide AdCallum Wilson - Out
Wilson has a hamstring issue and will be sidelined for a couple of weeks.
Jamaal Lascelles - Out
Lascelles is not expected to return until February. He himself said: “I should be back on the grass soon and jogging in the next few weeks. It'll take me a while to build up from there, but I'm happy to be ticking those boxes, and now it's about getting my boots back on and progressing slowly that way.”
Nick Pope - Out
Pope is not expected to return from a knee injury until some time around mid-January. Eddie Howe has said: “Nick is doing OK; he has had a couple of injections in his knee, quite when he will be fit; it is still difficult to give a definitive date.”
Emil Krafth - Out
Krafth will not return until later in January, with Howe saying: “Emil is working well after undergoing surgery - back on the grass and running.”

Hide AdSven Botman - Fit
Howe has said: “He feels good. Naturally, a little bit of fatigue at the end of the game but I think, with Sven, it was a long absence but he's trained for a long, long time for this moment. After the Aston Villa game, he was cleared to play but we wanted to give him longer to try and reach his best physical levels. It is not like he has been rushed back. Straight into action, he did very well, (I was) really pleased with him and he handled the intensity well.”
Anthony Gordon - Fit
Gordon should be available after suffering a nasty gash on his nose last time out. Howe said: “Anthony was in a bit of discomfort with the cut which was a nasty looking one. He came from that incident with blood on himself so we dusted him down. He got back on the pitch and performed really well for us. I thought he had a really good game so we will see how he is today.”
Bruno Guimaraes - Out (Suspended)
Guimaraes will miss this one due to reaching the yellow card limit.
Ben White - Out
White will be out after having a procedure on his knee. Arteta said at the time: “Ben is going to be out for months. We had to make a decision in the last few weeks, unfortunately. It got to a point where we had to protect the player, and we decided to do the surgery.”

Hide AdRaheem Sterling - Out
Arteta has said: “He is starting to do some stuff on the pitch, so that is great news. Let's see how he progresses next week, and we will see if he is available for the following week.”
Kai Havertz - Doubt
Havertz is struggling with illness. Arteta has said ahead of this one: “I hope so but I don’t want to say yes because last time I said I thought he was going to be fit and he wasn’t fit.”
Martin Odegaard - Doubt
Odegaard struggled with illness over the weekend. He will remain a doubt here but will be in contention.
Bukayo Saka - Out
Saka is out with a hamstring injury, and that will be the case for some time. Arteta has said: “He had a procedure. Everything went well. But unfortunately, he will be out for many, many weeks. I think it will be more than two months. I don't know exactly how much longer.”

Hide AdTakehiro Tomiyasu - Out
We are still waiting for a fresh update on Tomiyasu as he continues his long recovery from a knee injury. He shouldn’t be too far off, but the defender does remain out for now.
Nwaneri is out with a fresh injury, with Arteta confirming: “Unfortunately he’s picked up an injury and is going to be out for a few weeks. It’s a muscular injury.”
