The traditional season curtain raiser will be played on August 6, a week before the start of the new Premier League season.

According to previous reports, each side stands to share £1.25million from the overall Community Shield fund, while money will also be raised for charity and teams in the lower leagues of British football.

The Gunners are joint top with Liverpool in terms of most Community Shields won and previously beat Man City back in 2014 when Mikel Arteta captained the side.
