The Gunners are thought to be interested in a move for towering 20-year-old centre-forward Benjamin Sesko, who currently plies his trade for Red Bull Leipzig in the Bundesliga. However, they aren’t the only ones who are keeping an eye on him - Manchester United have also been linked with a move for the player.

This is according to the Daily Mirror - they also mention that United made an effort to sign Sesko in the summer transfer window, but their advances were rejected. Can Arsenal succeed where the Red Devils failed?

Gunners ‘closing in’ on move for Arthur Vermeeren

Arsenal are interested in a move for Royal Antwerp midfielder Arthur Vermeeren, according to a report from Spanish sports media outlet SPORT. Previously, Barcelona had been interested in the player, but their ongoing financial situation will likely rule them out of the race to snap him up.

Despite being young and having no experience of football in England, Arsenal are confident that he will have no problems adapting to the Premier League. So far this season, Vermeeren has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Antwerp, scoring a single goal and registering five assists along the way [via Transfermarkt].
