Arsenal 'make loan approach' and 'enter race' for £54m ex-Premier League winger
All the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding Arsenal as they prepare to return to action.
Arsenal are now just days away from returning to action with the international break now all-but over. The Gunners face a big test this weekend, taking on a Nottingham Forest side that has started brilliantly, currently sitting just goal difference below Arsenal.
Mikel Arteta’s men have little margin for error from here, and they are going to need to come out of the international break swinging. In the meantime, we have rounded up all the latest news and transfer rumours surrounding the Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal loan approach
Reports have surfaced claiming Arsenal are interested in Real Madrid starlet Arda Guler, who has struggled for game time at the Santiago Bernabeu this season. Now, according to Sport, the Gunners have approached Los Blancos over a possible loan deal for the Turkiye star.
The move would be similar to that of Martin Odegaard, who spent time on loan with Arsenal before later joining permanently. Whether there is any hope of landing Guler permanently remains to be seen, but a loan deal could help Arsenal add more creativity and depth without a significant outlay.
Pulisic links
Arsenal are being linked with a surprise move for AC Milan winger Christian Pulisic. According to The Daily Briefing, the former Chelsea wideman has caught the attention of Arteta.
Liverpool and Manchester United have also been linked with the American, who is Milan’s top scorer so far this season. It’s claimed Milan want as much as £54million to sell, and that is significantly more than the £18million or so they paid for him. Pulisic, of course, already has Premier League experience having spent time at Chelsea. Arsenal are likely to be in the market for a winger next summer, needing more competition for Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka, something that has been exposed so far this season.
