Chelsea star Christopher Nkunku has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich in recent weeks, but German journalist Tobi Altschäffl says there is no credible interest. “That’s not true,” he told The Boot Room.
“Yes, of course we all know that Christopher Nkunku moved from RB Leipzig to Chelsea for 60 million last year, but hasn’t really blossomed there yet. Of course we all know that at Chelsea, there are plenty of top class players running around. So it’s always a bit of a running gag.
“The Chelsea squad, how many high-calibre players there are, and he’s not really getting the role he expected. He’s a bit dissatisfied, even though he’s actually scored quite a few goals, 10 goals in 688 minutes. So his rate is actually good. Bayern aren’t interested at the moment, but who knows what could happen in the summer.”
Palace boost
Crystal Palace have been dealing with a large number of injuries over recent weeks, with Adam Wharton, Jefferson Lerma and many other currently sidelined. Eberechi Ezi is also an injury concern, with the key Eagles star missing out on international duty as a result.
