Thierry Henry has been speaking about Arsenal's standout midfielder as they continue their Premier League title race. The Gunners steamrolled bottom club Sheffield United on Monday night to move back within two points of leaders Liverpool.

Mikel Arteta's men were five up at half time in the Steel City, with Martin Odegaard kicking off the scoring with a goal after just five minutes, while Gabriel Martinelli, Kai Havertz, Declan Rice and Ben White added to an own goal to make it six.

The Gunners are in stunning form, establishing themselves as serious title contenders, and skipper Odegaard has been key to that form. The Norwegian midfielder has been a one of the signings of the decade for Arsenal, and he, like his team, is in unstoppable form.

Ahead of Arsenal's win over the Blades on Monday night, Gunners legend Henry spoke about Odegaard's impact off the ball, as well as on it, analysing a clip from Arsenal's recent clash with Newcastle United.

“I’m going to point at Kai Havertz," Henry said on Sky Sports. "He does ever so well. Odegaard again, every time we talk about him, on the ball. What he does off the ball is second to none.

“He knows that Guimaraes cannot get the ball, Havertz. And Declan Rice will not let Longstaff have the ball. He is aware that that ball cannot go right there. This time, he gets it.” Odegaard has scored nine and assisted seven across all competitions so far this season, including six goals and seven assists in the Premier League.
