Arsenal fans create new chant for Kai Havertz as £60million man nets first goal [Video]

The Gunners produced a comprehensive performance as they swept aside Bournemouth at the Vitality Stadium.

Kai Havertz scored his first goal for Arsenal as the Gunners beat Bournemouth 4-0 in the Premier League on Saturday.

The German international has received criticism in recent weeks after failing to assert himself on games, but bagged a second half penalty as Arsenal reduced the gap on Manchester City to one point.

Bukayo Saka opened the scoring before Martin Odegaard scored a penalty to give Arsenal a 2-0 lead at half time. Goals from Havertz and Ben White secured the victory after the break, with Bournemouth now in the relegation zone.

“I’m really happy for the win, but I’m even happier to be part of a team that shows the human qualities that they do today,” said Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta after the game.

“To show that empathy to a player that has some question marks they warmed me even more today.

“I’m so happy with our supporters the way they made him [Havertz] feel. If there’s a player who deserves that it’s him.

“Probably it will change everything. If he had any question marks about how we feel about him they are out.”
