Arsenal injury update: latest on Kieran Tierney, Thomas Partey and more after international break
and on Freeview 262 or Freely 565
An international break so close to the end of the Premier League campaign is always one to spark concern, with Arsenal eager to have a fully fit squad for the final run-in as they look to confirm their first league title in 19 years. The two weeks off for the Gunners have produced a mix bag ahead of their clash with Leeds United this weekend.
Bukayo Saka was one player who made the headlines over the past week or so for his stellar performances in an England shirt. The winger replicated his brilliant displays in North London onto the international stage, bagging an assist and a stunner of goal during the Three Lions’ win over Ukraine.

There is also one player who is set to join the others in the treatment room, while a couple of stars could return after gaining their fitness during the break.
Here is the latest injury updates from Arsenal...
Kieran Tierney
Kieran Tierney is a fresh concern for Mikel Arteta after the defender was forced off during the second half of Scotland’s 2-0 win over Spain on Tuesday night. Tierney was taken out by a strong tackle from Man City’s Rodri and as a result picked up a calf issue that is highly likely to keep him out of the match against Leeds.
Tierney’s absence is unlikely to be detrimental to the Gunners’ form given his lack of game time, though their squad depth in defence is already looking a little weary.
William Saliba
William Saliba has been absent since limping off in the defeat to Sporting Lisbon after picking up a back problem. The centre-back was replaced in the France squad and will continue to be monitored, though he is expected to be out for a number of weeks that will be a huge blow for Arteta’s side.

Thomas Partey was left out as a ‘precaution’ by Ghana boss Chris Hughton during their AFCON qualification clash with Angola on Monday. Hughton went on to reveal that he could be a doubt for Arsenal’s meeting with the Whites.
The North London outfit sent the club physio to Ghana with the midfielder in a bid to prevent him from picking up an injury on international duty. The club will be hopeful they can help him recover from his minor injury in time for this weekend.
Eddie Nketiah
Eddie Nketiah has been sidelined with an ankle injury since Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Everton at the start of the month. The striker is expected to have mostly recovered during the international break, though a reunion with former side Leeds United may come too soon. Nketiah could make his comeback for their trip to Liverpool next week.
