Arsenal set for huge striker transfer boost as European club slash asking price of 'target'

Arsenal could be offered a bargain deal to sign one of their long-term targets this summer. The Gunners look as though they have a pathway to the title again, currently eight points behind leaders Liverpool but with a game in-hand, while the Reds also face Manchester City this weekend.
Though, Arsenal’s title bid has not been made easier by the lack of striker available to Mikel Arteta between now and the end of the season. The loss of Gabriel Jesus and Kai Havertz to injury for the rest of the season has left Arteta mightily short up top, with no attacking addition secured in the summer window.

A number of players have been linked, and there has been talk that Benjamin Sesko could be a main target, with RB Leipzig potentially willing to sell for a sizable fee this summer. Another player who has regularly been linked with Arsenal is Juventus frontman Dusan Vlahovic, who has impressed with the Old Lady, but that hasn’t helped him become a staple at the club.
Vlahovic has scored 41 goals in 94 league games with Juve, but every time the Italian club needs money for a new signing, it is the Serbian striker who is touted for an exit. While not all of that will come from the club, the regularity of it will make a long-term relationship between the club and player difficult to sustain.
The 25-year-old striker could well be on his way out this summer, and according to CalcioMercato, Juventus will look to offload Vlahovic this summer in a bid to complete the permanent signing of loan frontman Randal Kolo Muani, who is on loan from PSG.

Juve paid £58million for Vlahovic not including add-ons, so it would be a surprise for them to knock so much off their asking price, but they would save a significant chunk on his wages if they are able to cut him loose.
