Manchester United 'better placed' to sign Ivan Toney over Arsenal or Chelsea

Manchester United are the early favourites to sign highly-coveted Brentford striker Ivan Toney in the summer transfer window, according to a report from TEAMtalk. An interview from Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has indicated that Toney will be departing the Bees at the end of the season - as things stand, his next destination is unclear.

All three of the clubs in the equation are hunting for a new striker. Chelsea are expected to go after Napoli's Victor Osimhen instead - which would leave the Gunners and the Red Devils to battle it out. Should either team look to complete a deal, they would need to pay Brentford a fee of no less than £80 million.

Tottenham chasing Gunners target Miguel Gutierrez

Tottenham have reportedly thrown their hat into the ring in the pursuit of Girona left-back Miguel Gutierrez, who is also an Arsenal transfer target. This comes from journalist Javier Rodríguez Pascual in a post on X (formerly Twitter).

They aren't the only interested parties - Bayern Munich, Chelsea and Manchester City are also in the mix. Previously, the player has expressed a desire to play for Real Madrid - but as Girona are owned by City football group, it seems that the Sky Blues may have priority when it comes to securing his signature.
