Arsenal have been handed a boost ahead of their clash with Everton which takes place after the international break on Sunday 17 September.

The Gunners have recorded three wins from their opening four Premier League games and they recently celebrated an impressive 3-1 victory over Manchester United.

Mikel Arteta’s side are the clear favourites heading into their match against The Toffees, who have failed to win any of their opening four matches this season. While Sean Dyche’s men are desperate to pick up points to ease the club’s relegation fears.

Arsenal welcomed back key striker Gabriel Jesus to the team during the win over Man United and the Brazilian even managed to get his first goal of the season from the sub’s bench.

The striker’s return will be crucial to Arsenal’s title hopes in the coming weeks but they have also been handed a late boost in the transfer window as one of Everton’s star players pushes for a late summer exit.

Demari Gray has been a regular fixture in Everton’s team for both of the last two seasons and he has scored nine goals in 67 Premier League appearances for the Blues.

But his career at Goodison Park looks to be coming to an end due to interest from Saudi outfit Al Ettifaq, who are closing in on an £8m deal to sign the player, according to the Daily Mail.

The Jamaican’s exit has also caused a stir in the Everton dressing room and the 27-year-old shared a post on his Instagram story which states that “it’s so difficult to play for someone who doesn’t respect you as a person.”

Dyche has responded to this criticism by saying that Gray made it clear that he didn’t want to train and claims the player also told him that the move was a “done deal” earlier in the summer.

If the transfer is successful, Gray will link up with the manager Steven Gerrard as well as former Liverpool stars Gini Wijnaldum and Jordan Henderson. The Saudi Arabian Football Federation website states that Pro League teams have until 7 September to register new signings.
