However, they were beaten for the first time this term away at Manchester United last time out.

Here is a look at the latest news coming out of the club...

Winger could leave

Arsenal could reportedly let winger Marquinhos leave on loan in the upcoming January transfer window.

The 19-year-old only moved to the Emirates Stadium in June from Sao Paulo for around £3 million but hasn’t made a league appearance yet.

According to a report in The Sun, the club are ‘considering’ sending him out on a temporary basis this winter to let him get some first-team experience under his belt.

Real Madrid winger Marco Asensio apparently wanted to leave the La Liga giants over the summer.

He was linked with the Gunners, as per The Mirror, but ended up staying with his current club beyond the deadline.

The Daily Mail claim the Palma-born man wanted to ‘leave’ the Santiago Bernabeu for a new chapter elsewhere as his future continues to hang in the balance now.

Midfielder injury update

Arsenal gave youngster Charlie Patino the green light to join Blackpool on loan last month to get some experience.

The midfielder suffered an injury early into his spell at Bloomfield Road though which was a blow.

However, as per the Blackpool Gazette, the 18-year-old is closing in on a return as they prepare to play Rotherham United away on Wednesday.
