Winger latest

Arsenal have been heavily linked with a winter swoop for Wolves winger Pedro Neto ahead of the January transfer window as Arteta looks to further bolster his attacking options. The 23-year-old, who is a Portugal international with four caps under his belt so far in his career, has been playing his football at Molineux since 2019 after he moved to England from SC Braga and he has since made 119 appearances in all competitions to date, chipping in with 12 goals.

In this latest update regarding his future, reporter Fabrizio Romano has hinted that other clubs are interested in him as well. He has written in his CaughtOffside column: “Arsenal wanted Neto just over a year ago. They’ve always been interested in the player and they keep tracking him, but there are also other clubs following the situation. He’s always been on the list for Arsenal but it’s nothing more concrete just yet, and the race looks to be absolutely open.”

Defender eyed

Arsenal will ‘consider’ a move for Girona defender Miguel Gutierrez, according to a report by Spanish news outlet Fichajes. The 22-year-old has caught the eye playing in La Liga over recent times and his current club could face a battle to keep hold of him down the line amid links with a switch elsewhere.

He was on the books at Real Madrid from 2011 to 2022. The ex-Spain youth international has since made Estadi Montilivi his home.
