There is a fresh update in the case of reported Arsenal and Chelsea target Benjamin Sesko. The RB Leipzig star continues to be linked with a move away from his current club, emerging as one of the most talented young strikers in Europe, still just 21 years of age.
Sesko is not super prolific, generally averaging around one goal every two games across the three clubs he has played for during his professional career, RB Salzburg, currently club RB Leipzig and loan club FC Liefering. But Sesko has also racked up three assists across all competitions this season, and he continues to develop, still very young.

Both clubs may well be in the market for a striker next summer, with the Gunners having resisted signing a new frontman last summer, leaving them to rely on Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus. Leading scorer Havertz has just four goals so far.
As for Chelsea, they tried everything to sign Victor Osimhen in the final 24 hours of the summer transfer window but ultimately missed out. They could well move for a new frontman next summer, but they are only likely to sign one who can make an immediate impact, needing someone at the level of, or indeed better than, Nicolas Jackson, to provide proper competition.
Sesko’s stance
Sesko, meanwhile, seems to be angling for a move despite having a contract in place until 2029. According to Sky Germany's Philipp Hinze, Sesko has a ‘gentleman’s agreement’ with Leipzig that would allow him to leave next summer if a big offer comes in, and it’s reported it would take around £62.2million for a deal to be done.
Asked about transfer speculation recently, Sesko said: "I don't comment on transfer rumors. I'm happy in Leipzig and that's why I recently extended my contract. I want to achieve even more great things here, Leipzig wants to grow a lot and I want to accompany the team on this very intriguing journey."
