We are now getting into the time of year where points became that much more important, with time running out in the top tier. The title race looks all-but set at this point, with Liverpool carrying a 13-point lead, but there is going to be a huge scramble for the European spots, especially with England likely to get one more Champions League spot this season. That should shift the Europa League spots to sixth and seventh, while the Conference League spot would become eighth place.

With third place to 10th looking very compact, it looks as though the race for Europe is where much of the excitement will be going into the end of the Premier League season. The relegation battle could yet spring to life, but the current bottom three have a lot to do while looking incapable of springing to life as things stand, perhaps with the exception of Ipswich Town, although they remain five points off safety.

As far as the TV selections go, we will start with Chelsea and Tottenham, whose April 2 London derby has now been moved to April 3 at 8pm. Another London derby in Brentford vs Chelsea has also been moved, now taking place on April 6 at 2pm rather than the day before.

Chelsea’s date with Everton has also been selected for TV, but there is no change to the date. Tottenham’s clash with Southampton will now take place a day later, on April 6, kicking off at 2pm, while their home clash with Nottingham Forest will now be two days later, on Monday April 21, kicking off at 8pm.

There has also been a change to Spurs’ away clash with Liverpool, which will now take place a day later, on Sunday, April 27, kicking off at 4.30pm. Arsenal’s away clash with Everton has been selected for TV on April 5, but there is no change to the date, kicking off at 12.30pm.

Fulham’s date with Liverpool has been moved back a day to April 6, kicking off at 2pm, and their away clash with Bournemouth will now take place on April 13, kicking off at 8pm.

Meanwhile Crystal Palace’s away clash with Manchester City will now kick off at 12.30pm on the originally scheduled April 13th after being selected for TV. The Eagles’ clash with Arsenal will stay on April 26 but kick off at 5.30pm.

Arsenal vs Brentford remains on April 12 but will kick off at 5.30pm to accommodate TV cameras, but West Ham’s away clash with Liverpool has been moved to Sunday 13, at 2pm.

It’s worth noting that some of the games are still subject to further change due to the possible participation of clubs in the FA Cup and Europa League.
