Arsenal star ‘cancels contract’ and flies to Spain in desperate attempt to sign for Barcelona

Barcelona have agreed a deal with Arsenal defender and the deal is being proceeded to beat the red tape.

Arsenal star Hector Bellerin has agreed contract termination with the Gunners and will re-sign for boyhood club Barcelona before the summer transfer window closes at midnight.

The left-back spent last season away from the Emirates in search of playing time, and with Arsenal having Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White recently impressing, it is only fair that Bellerin moves to a club where he can get game time.

Real Betis, the club where he spent last season out on loan, tried to sign him but it is Barcelona who have secured his services after convincing him that he was the ideal right back manager Xavi was looking for.

Barcelona agreed to sell Sergino Dest to AC milan once they struck a deal with Bellerin who is desperate to resurrect his career having stumbled on challenges recently.

The Spain international has 239 games for the Gunners and has been widely celebrated as a great team mate even when he was not getting into the team in north London.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has built a robust team that has started the season on fire- with five wins and sitting top of the Premier League table. They have showed incredible strength to overcome the early challenges that the season has thrown at them.

They will however face their biggest test so far when they take on Manchester United this weekend in the Premier League.

Erik ten Hag’s side produced their best performance against Liverpool and they will be looking to prove a point when they take on the Premier League leaders this weekend.
