Arsenal and Tottenham ‘want’ Chelsea international, Man Utd ‘following’ West Ham target

All the latest Arsenal transfer news.

Arsenal could climb back to the top of the Premier League table if they can beat Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.

The Gunners have taken 21 points from their first eight matches, and will leapfrog Manchester City to reclaim their spot at the summit if they can see off the Reds

For their part, Jurgen Klopp’s men are languishing in 10th, but would move to within eight points of Mikel Arteta’s side if they can record a third top flight victory of the campaign.

Speaking ahead of the clash, the German manager dismissed claims that his side are falling victim to the “difficult seventh year” that plagued his previous tenures at Mainz and Borussia Dortmund.

He said: “I have absolutely no problem with energy and the situation is completely different here. I can understand that I left after seven years [in the past] and now we are in a difficult situation and people take that but, if you think twice about it, you realise the situation is completely different.

“Being seven years here is intense, no doubt about that; I got older, everybody got older. That’s time, but it’s nice as well. I got so many things back that give you a boost. That’s where we are now.”
