17 of the best pictures of Sarina Wiegman’s Lionesses in training ahead of crunch United States clash

England Women are preparing to take on the World Champions in front of a sell-out Wembley crowd.

Sarina Wiegman’s players have conquered Europe - but they’re hungry to go one better.

As preparations for the 2023 World Cup begin, the Lionesses will fight the holders, the USA, at the home of football on Friday evening before facing the Czech Republic at the Amex stadium next Tuesday.

Wiegman has welcomed back a number of her European Champions to her squad, as well as bringing back into the fold several faces who missed out on the summer tournament.

Manchester City striker Jess Park, who is currently on loan at Everton, was handed her first call-up, as was West Ham United defender Lucy Parker - though the 23-year-old has since pulled out with injury.

All of the Lionesses will be hoping to prove themselves on the big stage on Friday while an expectant crowd looks forward to seeing the national team show the world champions what they’re made of.
