The 24-year-old’s contract runs until the summer of 2027 and with the Gunners in the market for a new striker this summer, his long-term future is likely to be elsewhere with a number of clubs interested in his services.

"It was just my love for the club. London’s home, the club is home, but I’ve been an Arsenal fan all my life and that played a big part.

"Talking to the manager and the plans he had for me, and the fact he needed me… I knew I wanted to learn, develop and help this club."

Palace see Nketiah as a key addition to their squad, as do a number of other clubs including West Ham and newly-promoted Leicester City.
