Arsenal’s title hopes suffered a setback as they were held to a draw by West Ham, who came back from two goals down to earn a point.

The Gunners started brightly, scoring two goals in the opening 10 minutes through Gabriel Jesus and Martin Odegaard. However, they failed to hold on to their lead, conceding a penalty that allowed West Ham to get back into the game.

Despite being awarded a penalty of their own, Arsenal’s Bukayo Saka missed the target, and West Ham made them pay just minutes later when Jarrod Bowen scored a stunning volley. The Hammers had a chance to win the game in the dying minutes, but Michail Antonio’s header hit the crossbar, and the game ended in a 2-2 draw.

This result leaves Arsenal six points behind league leaders Manchester City, who won their game against Leicester City 3-1. With only seven games left to play, Arsenal’s chances of winning the title are looking increasingly slim. Their next game is at home to bottom-of-the-league Southampton, before they face Manchester City in what is likely to be a pivotal game in the title race.

The draw with West Ham is the latest in a series of frustrating results for Arsenal, who have struggled to maintain their early-season form.

While they have shown signs of improvement under manager Mikel Arteta, the team’s inconsistency has cost them valuable points, and they now face an uphill battle to secure their first Premier League title since 2004.
