Arsenal goalkeeper closes in on Newcastle move as Eddie Howe makes transfer decision
The England shot stopper is set to leave Arsenal after falling behind David Raya in the pecking order.
Newcastle are frontrunners to complete the signing of Aaron Ramsdale this summer, LondonWorld understands.

Ramsdale has started just 11 games in all competitions this season and has been identified by Newcastle boss Eddie Howe as the man to solve the club's goalkeeping issues.
The 26-year-old has fallen behind David Raya in the goalkeeping pecking order, with Raya’s loan move set to turn permanent this summer.
“You aren’t going to develop being a number two,” said former Arsenal goalkeeper David Seaman.
“As an Arsenal fan, I don’t really want Aaron Ramsdale to go. But then as an ex England goalkeeper, I want to see another keeper developing.”
“I think he could go to somewhere like Chelsea to give himself a better shot of getting first team action. I think there are a few clubs who he would suit, maybe someone like West Ham too.”
Ramsdale recently thanked ther Arsenal fans for their support towards him during his period on the sidelines.
“Especially this year with the situation I’ve found myself in, they have been extra special. Even before games when my name is read out, I’ve heard the cheers, and warming up people still want to give me a wave.
“I think that’s kept me going more than I realised this season. Home and away I’ve always felt the love, heard chants, and that’s not something the second goalkeeper will get at many other places. So for sure, that’s been a massive boost for me.
“It could have been easy going through the season thinking you are forgotten about, but it’s been special during a difficult time, with how much love they’ve shown.
“Obviously fans have their favourites, but personally I think they’ve shown huge respect to both goalkeepers.
“They’ve supported whoever plays, and I think that shows great unity from the fanbase. They want the team to do well, the team comes first and I can’t thank them enough for what they do. What they do for the team in general is outstanding.”
