Arsenal have included 16-year-old Ethan Nwaneri in their squad for the upcoming pre-season training camp in Germany.

Nwaneri became the Premier League's youngest ever player when he was handed his debut against Brentford aged 15 last season.

Mikel Arteta’s side play their first pre-season friendly against FC Nuremberg on Thursday, with Nwaneri, Myles Lewis-Skelly and Reuell Walters among the youngsters hoping to be involved in the game.

New signing Kai Havertz has travelled to Germany alongside a host of first team stars including Gabriel Jesus, Jorginho and Takehiro Tomiyasu.

Meanwhile, the Gunners are expected to announce the double signing of Declan Rice and Jurrien Timber next week as their summer transfer spending surpasses £200million.

Rice, who has completed a two-part medical and already undergone his media duties, will join for a fee of £105million while Dutch international Timber arrives for around £40million.
