The Gunners are plotting an ambitious move for Real Madrid’s midfield sensation.

Arsenal are keen on signing Real Madrid star Arda Guler on loan, according to Spanish reports.

The 19-year-old Turkish international has struggled for consistent game time at Madrid, featuring in just 22 matches out of a possible 48.

Injuries have kept him sidelined for 24 of those games, and it's believed Guler is growing frustrated with his lack of opportunities under Carlo Ancelotti.

Several European clubs have already expressed interest in the talented midfielder, including Arsenal. The Gunners have successfully negotiated with Real Madrid in the past for players like Dani Ceballos and Martin Odegaard.

Mikel Arteta reportedly views Guler’s situation as similar to Odegaard’s - a player who left the Bernabeu and found success elsewhere.

Odegaard initially joined Arsenal on loan in January 2021 before securing a permanent transfer for £35 million that summer and becoming one of the Premier League's standout midfielders.

Guler, who is contracted to Real Madrid until 2029, harbours long-term ambitions of breaking into their first team.

However, with limited minutes on the pitch and growing interest from other clubs, a move away could materialise sooner than expected.
