"Nice club" - Ajax star makes Arsenal wish ahead of potential summer transfer move

The Gunners will be active in the summer transfer window as they look to strengthen their squad.

Ajax forward Brian Brobbey has expressed his admiration for Arsenal, admitting that he dreams of playing for the Gunners in the future.

Mikel Arteta’s side want to bring a striker this summer with Alexander Isak at the top of the Spaniard’s wishlist.

Brobbey has scored 22 goals in 43 appearances this season and is considered one of the brightest young prospects in Europe.

"Arsenal, I think that is a very nice club," Brobbey said. "If you look at that stadium, it's very impressive. A very nice club, but that also applies to Manchester United, FC Barcelona, and Real Madrid."

"I have a contract until 2027. At the moment I am just with Ajax," he said.

The 22-year-old was previously criticised Netherlands boss Ronald Koeman, who questioned whether his first touch is good enough.

“I still hope he continues to develop,’ Ronald Koeman told Ziggo Sport.

“We had him with the Dutch team during the previous international break. We were shooting and you saw that his first touch and the way he finished was not good.

“Then I wonder – what do you do as a striker at the clubs you have been to? And with all due respect, that John Bosman now becomes the striker coach that Brobbey is looking up to. How long has Brobbey been at Ajax? He went to Leizpig in between, came back, didn’t play… as a technical staff, aren’t you going to do your best?”
