The Eagles will have a hometown advantage this week as they play host to Southampton at Selhurst Park on Saturday October 29 in the latest round of Premier League fixtures. Patrick Vieira will be hoping to bounce back after the team’s defeat in the previous gameweek.

Palace travelled to Goodison Park last weekend to face Frank Lampard’s Everton, which ended in a 3-0 defeat for Patrick Vieira. Goals from Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Anthony Gordon and Dwight McNeil consigned Crystal Palace to 13th in the Premier League table, as Everton leapfrogged the London team on points difference.

However, Palace have played one less game than a number of mid-table sides in the Premier League, and a win here (should other results go their way) could propel the team to the top half of the table.

They face a Southampton team this weekend who can boast a draw against current Premier League leaders Arsenal last weekend. Goals from Granit Xhaka for Arsenal in the first half and a 65th minute equaliser from Southampton striker Stuart Armstrong saw the game end 1-1 at full time.

Both teams’ last encounter in the Premier League saw Palace steal all three points from Southampton away from home thanks to an injury time winner from Wilfried Zaha. Will the Eagles soar further up the Premier League table? Here’s how to watch the clash between Crystal Palace and Southampton this weekend.

How to watch Crystal Palace v Southampton

Crystal Palace vs Southampton has been selected for a 3pm kick-off time on Saturday October 29 2022 and so it won’t be shown live on UK television. This is to comply with the ‘blackout’ regulation on televised coverage between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday. Under the rules, broadcasting rights are restricted for clubs in the UK, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man.

This will be followed by a repeat on BBC One at 7:30am Sunday morning or you can catch up via the BBC iPlayer.
