Brentford look to bounce back from last weekend’s loss to Aston Villa with a meeting between another Midlands side, Wolverhampton Wanderers, this weekend in the Premier League. Brentford will be playing host to Wolves at the Gtech Community Stadium, Brentford on Saturday October 29 2022.

A managerless Villa felt the caretaker’s bump in form last weekend - unfortunately it was Brentford who were at the bruising end of that bump falling to goals from Leon Bailey, Ollie Watkins and a brace from Man of the Match Danny Ings in a 4-0 defeat.

Matters weren’t any better for Wolverhampton either, as they fell to a 4-0 loss against a revived Leicester City team, with the game almost as notable for Jamie Vardy “sculling” a can of Red Bull before coming on as a substitute as it was for the scoreline.

Unbelievably, despite both teams yo-yoing between divisions in the football pyramid, this will mark only the third time Brentford and Wolves have met in the top flight of English football. Both teams have shared a win a piece against each other, though for favours Brentford this weekend - but only just.

Will the Bees feel another stinging defeat from Wolves this weekend, or will Wolves’ bark be worse than their bite? Londonworld does away with the metaphors and looks at the options for watching Brentford v Wolves this weekend.

How to watch Brentford v Wolves this weekend

Brentford v Wolves has been selected for a 3pm kick-off time on Saturday October 29 2022 and so it won’t be shown live on UK television. This is to comply with the ‘blackout’ regulation on televised coverage between 2:45pm and 5:15pm on a Saturday.

Under the rules, broadcasting rights are restricted for clubs in the UK, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, and the Isle of Man. Not all is lost, though, as highlights will be available for Sky Sports subscribers on the Sky Sports app around 15-30 minutes after the final whistle.

The BBC’s flagship football show Match of the Day will provide extensive highlights of the game alongside a round up of Saturday’s other fixtures on BBC One from 10:30pm on Saturday, followed by a repeat on BBC One at 7:30am Sunday morning and via catch up on the BBC iPlayer.
