After the cancellation of a number sporting fixtures last weekend in respect to the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Premier League returns this weekend with a stripped down schedule of matches, including some in London.

Despite Chelsea’s home fixture being called off, Brentford will be playing host this weekend to an Arsenal team who are still sat at the top of the Premier League though with only one point between them, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur.

Brentford look to continue their good run of form after dismantling Leeds United in their last Premier League fixture, with a performance from English striker Ivan Toney leading to pundits calling for his inclusion in the England Men’s National Football team.

Arsenal remain top of the Premier League this week, despite a loss in their last game against Manchester United, though may be bumped off the top spot for at least 24 hours.

With top three rivals Manchester City and Spurs playing the day before and trailing the Gunners by one point, a win for Mike Arteta’s men will once again see them top the Premier League table after the weekend.

It was a stunning weekend in the Premier League for Brentford in their last fixture, with the team beating Leeds United 5-2 at home, lifting the team into 9th in the Premier League table and an unbeaten run of three games in a row.

The game saw Leeds United manager Jesse Marsch sent off after complaining about two penalty appeals for the visitors, in a weekend that was dogged by referee and VAR decisions that have led to the Premier League conducting a review on its standards.

The game also saw an Ivan Toney hat-trick that led Match of the Day pundits Gary Linekar, Alan Shearer and Danny Murphy asking if such form could lead to an England call up for the striker.
