Louise Thompson has revealed that she was unable to travel to St Lucia for a holiday, after being rushed to hospital due to an “unexpected situation”.

The former Made In Chelsea star, 32, from London, didn’t share exactly what caused her hospital visit, but took the time to warn her 1.4 million Instagram followers not to take anything for granted.

Sharing a snap from her hospital bed, she said: “I’ve been quiet on here recently because I had a bit of an unexpected situation again. Don’t really know what to say right now, except for a huge thanks to everyone that’s kept the old ticker ticking.

“I feel like I’ve very much used up my quota of NHS services at this point. Eeek. I can’t help but feel a bit guilty about it all.”

“I guess the only message for today is to take NOTHING for granted,” she added.

In another photo, Louise added: “We were supposed to be flying to St Lucia this morning.

“I am so upset that we aren’t able to go because I really needed some sun and sea. I am SO grateful that this all happened on English soil because I have no idea what the outcome would have been abroad.”

Louise previously spent a month in intensive care after having a near-death birthing experience, when her son Leo-Hunter Libbey was born in December 2021 and now suffers from PTSD as well as post-natal anxiety.

She went on to be diagnosed with Lupus after multiple tests and hospital visits last year, and there seems to be no end to her health woes as she has now been admitted once again.

This comes after Louise said earlier this month that she feels like she “died and came back in someone else’s body” after giving birth.

The former Made In Chelsea star posted an update on Instagram at the time, saying: “Now I can’t even cross my legs without agonising pain. I can feel exercise in my heart, lungs, legs, even my eyeballs are red and throbbing at the end of every day. I get numbness and terrible pins and needles.”

Prior to being diagnosed with lupus, she was distraught over her ongoing health issues and even feared that she may have suffered from a mini-stroke after the birth of her son.

In July 2022, Louise revealed that she went partially blind after after returning home from hospital for colon surgery. At the time, she explained that her brain had "basically shut down" and she couldn’t see after experiencing "back to back" panic attacks.
