Dancing on Ice 2023: EastEnders star Patsy Palmer admits to worrying that she will injure herself on ITV show

Patsy Palmer is one of the eleven celebrities that has signed up to participate in this year’s Dancing on Ice.
Under the guidance of Olympic figure skating champions, she will take to the ice and compete to become the series winner.

Hide AdThe former Eastenders star, 50, from Bethnal Green in London, has discussed her fears about appearing on the TV show ahead of her first live performance.
The mum-of-four admitted she is concerned about injuring herself on the show due to her age and says she is definitely going to feel the nerves.


“I thought I wasn’t going to do this because it’s going to be too hard. I was also thinking about my age and that I might hurt myself,” she told OK! magazine.
“Mainly, it’s just the physical side that makes me scared, but I know for a fact that I’ll be super nervous when it comes to the live shows - I do get very nervous. But it’s good to have a little bit of nerves.”

Hide AdShe also claimed the challenge of moving location nearly stopped her from doing the show, but she wanted to push herself to motivate her children.
“I always want my kids to see it’s good to be doing fun things, challenging yourself and getting out there.”
Patsy and her husband Richard decided to move their family out to Malibu, California, on the west coast of America in 2014.
The actress has four children, three of which she shares with Richard and one who she shares with boxer Alfie Rothwell.

Hide AdPrior to signing up for Dancing on Ice, she took part in The Masked Singer in 2020 as Butterfly.


In 2005, Palmer took part in BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing show to raise money for Children in Need.
She also made a cameo appearance in Catherine Tate’s sketch show, The Catherine Tate Show.
Dancing on Ice will return to television screens for its 15th season on Saturday, 14 January.
