Walthamstow missing man Sydney Piper: Police confirm body found

Police searching for a man who has been missing since February say a body was found.
Sydney Piper, 69, from Walthamstow was last seen on Chingford Road, on Thursday, February 23.
The Met Police has today (April 13) said that on Friday, March 24 a body was found in a wooded area near the Waterworks Roundabout, Woodford New Road.
A post mortem took place on Thursday, March 30 and police say a DNA comparison has confirmed that the body found is that of Sydney Piper.
The cause of death is not yet known, but the force is treating is as “unexplained but not suspicious at this time”.
The Met says Mr Piper’s family have been informed.
