Westminster fire: 40 firefighters tackle blaze at hostel

Six fire engines and around 40 firefighters tackled a blaze at a hostel in central London.
The London Fire Brigade (LFB) was called to the fire on Great Peter Street in Westminster at 1.51pm on Monday October 17.
A third-floor bedroom was destroyed in the blaze.

Hide AdAround 40 people left the building before the Brigade arrived. There were no reports of any injuries.
LFB said they received 10 calls to the fire.
Fire crews from Euston, Brixton, Clapham, Lambeth, Battersea and Hammersmith fire stations attended the scene and the fire was under control by 2.36pm.
The road has been cordoned off by police, and a large emergency services presence is still on the scene and the road is currently closed.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
