Will it snow in London in October? Latest weather map

While parts of Europe have experienced flurries over the past few days - will it snow in London in October?

As temperatures start to drop in London, many city locals have started to wonder if it will snow in the capital this month after surprise wintry blasts in Europe.

This week a snow storm blanketed mountainous regions of the continent with the Western Balkans recorded to have had up to 20 inches of snow.

But it seems sadly London won’t be getting any similar snowfall anytime soon.

A weather map showing expected weather over the next month highlights how the city instead can expect more rain.

WXCharts’ weather map which distinguishes snowfall with the colour purple and rain in blue shows the capital is set to be hit with wet weather throughout the month.

Following Storm Amy more rain is expected in London with the end of October set to bring the heaviest downpours.

The Met Office’s long range forecast has also highlighted how the capital and the rest of the country could expect “showers or longer spells of rain.”
