Storm Darragh London: When will it hit the capital? Latest Met Office forecast

Storm Darragh is set to hit London this weekend as it sweeps the UK - here’s when city locals can expect the wrath of it.

The Met Office has enforced a yellow wind weather alert for London this weekend warning the capital could face “disruption and damage” as a result of Storm Darragh.

The warning which is in place for London from today (December 6) until Sunday comes as winds in other parts of the UK could reach up to 80mph.

London in particular could have gusts up to 50mph over the next few days according to the latest forecasts.

When will Storm Darragh hit London?

The Met Office has warned London could experience strong winds from storm Darragh from 3pm this afternoon. Winds are expected to get stronger into the evening and reach almost 40mph by 9pm.

The weekend will bring more strong winds with Saturday expected to bring gusts of up to 50mph in the capital.

The windy weather will ease slightly across Sunday as gusts will drop to around 30mph by the end of the day.
