Before that, this afternoon is expected to remain warm, with temperatures reaching 27C.

For London and the South East, the Met Office says: “A fine day is expected. Most parts will remain dry, with very warm sunny spells, and light winds. However, isolated showers are possible, turning heavy and thundery in places. Maximum temperature 30C.”
