Hide AdThe Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms for much of England, including parts of north London.
The forecaster’s warning is in place between 1pm and 8pm, stating: “Heavy showers and thunderstorms causing some flooding and disruption in a few places.”
In London, the Met Office gives a 70% chance of rain, with the possibility of thunder, at around 5pm.

Hide AdBefore that, this afternoon is expected to remain warm, with temperatures reaching 27C.
For London and the South East, the Met Office says: “A fine day is expected. Most parts will remain dry, with very warm sunny spells, and light winds. However, isolated showers are possible, turning heavy and thundery in places. Maximum temperature 30C.”
Any showers are expected to fade through the evening to leave clear spells. Some mist and fog patches could develop in some areas.

The warm weather will continue over the weekend, with temperatures possibly reaching 28C. Monday could be cooler, with more cloud and temperatures reaching 22C.
