Thunderstorms arrived in London on Tuesday morning, bringing with them localised flooding.

Heavy rain saw surface water build up quickly on some roads, and road users were warned to take care.

According to the Met Office, the worst had passed by 8am, although BBC Weather gives a chance of rain throughout the morning.

London temperature

According to the Met Office, the clouds will clear at lunchtime, with temperatures reaching 25C. It will become overcast again in the afternoon.

London weekend weather

Further ahead, temperatures are forecast to rise again for the weekend, reaching 27C on Saturday and 28C on Sunday.
