The warning covers much of England and Wales, with some other areas have been issued warnings for rain and snow.
The forecaster has said there is a chance of longer journey times and cancellations on the roads and rails. Some roads may have to close due to the weather.
There may be some damage to buildings due to high winds and there is a slight chance power cuts may occur.
The Met Office said there is also a small chance of injuries and danger to life from flying debris.
