London weather: When will it rain as yellow weather warning in place?

The Met Office has warned that heavy rain and strong winds may cause travel disruption on Friday (October 13).

A yellow weather warning has been issued, covering much of England, including London.

Heavy rain is forecast to begin overnight on Thursday, between 11pm and 5am. Further showers could arrive between 9am and 11am and between 5pm and 8pm.

Temperatures in London on Friday could still hit 20°C.

For Friday, the Met Office says: "Humid, with widespread cloud and rain Friday, perhaps heavy, blustery, and thundery in places, clearing through the evening. Fresher conditions following. Maximum temperature 20°C."

The yellow weather warning, in place from 9pm tonight until 8pm on Friday, states:

  • Spray and flooding on roads are likely to making journey times longer.
  • Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
  • Bus and train services will probably be affected, with journey times taking longer.
