Weather in London this weekend: Full Good Friday and Easter weekend weather forecast for the capital

Easter weekend is almost upon us, and locals and visitors will no doubt be hoping for good weather as they celebrate across the capital.

The bank holiday festivities will kick off on Good Friday (April 18) and will run until Easter Monday (April 21). The four-day long weekend will likely draw in big crowds as themed events are planned across the city.

From exhibitions to Easter egg hunts, there’s plenty to do in London this weekend. As well as the Big Egg Hunt which has many large scale eggs scattered around the city to find, London Zoo is also hosting its own themed trail.

While London has had a few rainy days this week as Easter approaches, sunny spells are set to heat up the capital. The city will get warmer towards the end of the week as the long Easter bank holiday weekend starts.

Londoners are set to wake up to the sun this Good Friday as it is set to warm up the city before taking shelter behind the clouds after lunchtime.

The Easter weekend is expected to have a cooler start on Saturday. The sun will start beaming down in the capital from the early morning, with its warmth continuing across the afternoon despite it being more cloudy from midday.

Easter Sunday, April 20

Easter Sunday will see the warmth stay throughout the capital as clouds line the skies. Sunny intervals are expected in the late morning and afternoon.

Easter Monday, April 21

Easter Monday is expected to bring more of the same weather. Similar to Sunday, next week is set to start off cloudy, keeping the warmth throughout the city.
