Despite the rain the atmosphere was jubilant and Hyde Park became a sea of ponchos and umbrellas.
Camilla Conlon, 67 and Bobby Redefer, 62, who travelled all the way from Delaware weren’t put off by the weather.
Kitted out in yellow raincoats and union jack accessories the pair said the experience was “the best thing ever.”

“We went to Dulwich Park yesterday and rode the golden carriage from the Crown around the park,” Bobby beamed.
The pair knew the weather forecast but decided to come anyway.
“It’s a once in our lifetime event, we didn’t want to miss it,” said Bobby.
