The RSPCA is appealing for information after a man was filmed apparently kicking a dog on a north London street.

A member of the public witnessed the incident on Hazellville Road, in Islington, near Highgate, at 4.10pm on Sunday March 26 and reported it to the animal charity.

RSPCA animal rescue officer Nicola Thomas, who is looking into the incident, said: “This is a very upsetting incident and we are concerned for the dog’s welfare.

“We’re hoping that by releasing this footage, someone will come forward with information so we can check on the dog.

“It is absolutely wrong to treat an animal like this and the dog is clearly scared.
