Two women in hospital - one in ‘life-threatening condition’ - after taken ‘unwell’ at Ilford house

Two women have been rushed hospital - with one fighting for her life - after a huge emergency services incident in Ilford overnight.
Police have said the women have been taken unwell, with one in a “life-threatening condition”, however a spokesperson added the cause was still being determined.

Hide AdThe London Ambulance Service said it sent its Hazardous Area Response Team and a trauma team from the Air Ambulance to the address.
A huge number of police cars, ambulances and fire engines pulled up outside the house in South Park Drive, Ilford, Redbridge around 11.30pm last night.

Hide AdThe condition of the first woman, aged 23, is being treated as life-threatening.
Police are awaiting further information about a second 21-year-old woman.
Enquiries are ongoing to establish how the women came to be unwell.
Officers remain at the scene.
Police say there have been no arrests and enquiries are ongoing.

Hide AdA London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 11.16pm last night to reports of two people unwell in South Park Drive, Ilford.
“We sent two ambulance crews, three paramedics in fast response cars, an incident response officer and members of our Hazardous Area Response Team (HART).
“We also dispatched a trauma team from London’s Air Ambulance, which consisted of a paramedic and a doctor in a car.
“We treated two patients at the scene and took them to hospital as a priority.”

Hide AdA London Fire Brigade spokesperson said: “Two fire engines and around 10 firefighters were called at 11.50pm last night to a mid-terraced house and the incident was under control by 01. 43am.
“ Two women were taken from the property by crews from the London Ambulance Service and taken to hospital and firefighters ventilated the property.”
