Trick or treat? Met Office weather forecast for Halloween weekend in London as the costumes come out

Trick or Treaters in London will be readying their costumes and carrier bags this weekend as Halloween is upon us. With a number of venues across London already preparing spooky specials for punters, it looks to be a busy end to October.

But will the weather hold out for prospective door-to-door candy takers this weekend, or even on the big day this Monday? Will those fancy dress outfits require to be waterproof or will it be a treat and remain somewhat mild this weekend?

According to the Met Office, they are forecasting that the weekend will continue to be generally unsettled with further showers at times, and occasionally longer spells of rain. However, there will also be drier, brighter interludes. Rather windy at times, and remaining very mild.

Friday will be cloudy changing to sunny intervals in the afternoon, with highs of 19C and lows of 13C, with sunset taking place from 5.45pm. On Saturday, London can expect light rain, with more clouds moving in by late morning. Temperatures will reach around 19C falling to around 15C overnight, and sunset occurring at 5.40pm.

Sunday will be cloudy with highs of 18C and lows of 13C, with an early sunset taking place at 4.38pm.Halloween on Monday will be cloudy, changing to sunny intervals by late morning, reaching highs of 17C and lows of 12C. Parents may also be relieved to know that sunset will take place at 4.36pm, meaning an early start for that Trick or Treating.
