Virgin Atlantic to resume flights to Dubai from London Heathrow Airport with £550 return - service info

Virgin Atlantic has announced it will relaunch its service between London Heathrow Airport and Dubai.

Virgin Atlantic has confirmed it will relaunch services between London Heathrow and Dubai in a bid to capitalise on demand for premium travel and grow its route network. The service, which will run four times a week and last operated in March 2019, will operate seasonally from October through to March.

Customers can book flights from June 7, 2023, from £505 return. The airline expects the new route will be hit with leisure customers and aims to capture the increased demand for premium winter sun getaways.

The year-round warm weather with just a three-hour time difference is set to appeal to couples and families alike. The relaunch of the popular route will complement Virgin Atlantic’s two other newly announced premium destinations - the Maldives and Turks and Caicos.

Virgin Atlantic Holidays offers a portfolio of more than 30 properties throughout Dubai and the region. Dubai’s spectacular resorts will allow customers to indulge in five-star service , while still within reach of the bright lights of the city. The nearby desert offers a treasure trove of adventure from camel rides to sand boarding and dune bashing which are perfect for guests of all ages seeking new experiences.

The route will commence on October 28, operating on the airline’s 787-9 aircraft, boasting 31 Upper Class, 35 Premium and 192 Economy Delight, Classic and Light seats.  The new service will offer connections and a consistent long haul onboard experience for customers connecting from Dubai via London Heathrow to destinations throughout North America across both the Virgin Atlantic and Delta networks, including New York, Seattle, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Francisco.

As well as flying customers, Virgin Atlantic will offer 20 tonnes of cargo capacity on each flight. This fast cargo service will offer new opportunities for companies looking to export and import goods such as fresh produce and high tech products between the Middle East and prime markets in the UK and US.

Virgin Atlantic has also announced an expansion to services from Manchester Airport, with new services to Las Vegas. Fares start from £770 per person in Economy.

As part of the new Dubai service announcement, Virgin Atlantic have brought in a new holiday package for those who wish to visit the city. The package is a four night stay priced at £899 per person.

It includes scheduled Virgin Atlantic Economy flights direct from London Heathrow to Dubai, accommodation at JW Marriott Marquis Hotel Dubai and the price is based on two adults travelling and sharing a deluxe double room with breakfast as part of the bill.
