Transport for London (TfL) has said bus routes will continue to run while it completes the improvements to pedestrian safety and accessibility at the site.

Some of the stops on routes serving Terminus Place and the station will differ over the six-week period.

TfL is advising passengers to use the Victoria Street entrance in the interim.

Louise Cheeseman, TfL’s director of buses, said: “Safety is our upmost priority in all that we do to deliver bus services in London and we’re determined that it will continue to be at the heart of our transport network. These improvements to Victoria Bus Station are vital to providing a safer environment for all and will ensure that our buses will continue to run safely and efficiently for years to come.

“We are sorry for any inconvenience caused during this time and we'd like to thank customers for their patience and understanding while the work takes place. There will be temporary bus diversions and bus stopping changes while the works are being completed. Customers will still be able to make all existing journeys with the temporary arrangements.

“Customers are encouraged to check their journeys using TfL’s website or the TfL Go app and allow plenty of time for their journeys during this time. Full details of the changes to bus routes and alternative stopping arrangements during the closure can be found by visiting our website.”
