The London Underground is slowly back and running after yesterday’s strike action, with six lines experiencing severe delays.

At 10am on Friday morning only three lines had a good service after this year’s sixth 24-hour walkout by Rail, Maritime and Transport union (RMT) members.

The London Overground has severe delays and there were reports of queues for buses as all services were suspended during the first part of rush hour.

It comes after about 10,000 members of the RMT union walked out on Thursday in an ongoing dispute over pensions and the loss of up to 600 station staff posts.

Tube passenger numbers on Thursday were down 86% compared to last week.

Transport for London said: “Disruption will continue into the morning of Friday November 11, with affected services expected to return to a normal service by mid-morning.”
