London Underground

Central line

TfL has apologised for the continued disruption on the Central line caused by an abnormally high number of motor failures across the fleet. Engineers are working around the clock to improve the situation as quickly as possible.

There is an enhanced bus provision at some affected stations in east London to give Central line customers better and more frequent connections to other lines.

An emergency Central line timetable is also being developed to make better use of the available trains and remove uneven gaps in service. TfL says it hopes to introduce this in the next four weeks.
